The most sympathetic conversion has seen Beaverbrook Barn transformed from 16th, 17th and 18th century farm buildings to seriously big self catering holiday accommodation for up to 30 guests; simply oozing wow factor, the entire property consists of two separate units on either side of an attractive cobbled courtyard, in a quiet setting in the gorgeous Somerset countryside. It's stylish, it's luxurious and all facilites are bang up to date; it's more than perfect for large group holidays and celebrations. 

The Old Granary Barn forms the main building; it's stunning. Commodious throughout, you step through the door into a spacious hallway leading to the vast open plan living space; with natural light pouring in through the full height windows, this is a space made for entertaining, for relaxing chit chat and laughter, for lively banter around a table laden with food. To one end is a fully equipped kitchen, with everything you could possibly need to create a feast fit for a king; there's a 6 oven range and not one, not two, but 3 dishwashers! A breakfast bar with seating means whoever's cooking needn't miss out on the socialising - mind you, there's always the option to bring in one of our professional, well reputed local caterers to do the cooking... Next to the kitchen is a handy utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and 2 WC's.

Right in the middle of this humongous living space is a bespoke dining table, long and sturdy with enough room for all to gather round and tuck in. Then at the other end there's a relaxing seating area - inviting sofas to sink into and a big TV; a great spot for sitting and chatting or for catching up on your favourite soap.

Just off the living area is a bedroom sleeping 3, with a lovely en suite bathroom that's got a shower and a free standing bath. A corridor leads to a family bathroom and to another bedroom that sleeps 5; this is a wonderfully calm room that has wheelchair friendly access to the central courtyard, and an outlook over the lane and the little parish church.

Also on the ground floor are two further en suite bedrooms, each sleeping 2 in superking size or twin beds, and overlooking the patio and walled garden to the rear of the property.

From the entrance hallway stairs rise to a spacious landing leading off to 2 WC's. To the left of the landing is the living room, a high ceilinged room with oak beams and natural stone walls. Full height windows let in lots of natural light and there are big, welcoming sofas to curl up on; an inbuilt screen and projector can be used for watching TV or for rolling photographs of your holiday or celebration!

Opposite the living room is the games room, with a pool table and table tennis, a TV and DVD docking station, and Bluetooth speakers for your music. No chance of teenagers getting bored! This is a great space to chill, with big, trendy floor cushions adding to the relaxing vibe, and again, it's filled with light from the huge windows on both sides. To one end is a handy kitchen area with a sink, a dishwasher, and a handy drinks fridge. The perfect games room or what?

Across the central courtyard is the other barn with 6 more en suite bedrooms, each sleeping 3 guests; this used to be the Tie Stalls, where cows were milked on the working farm. Thoughtfully converted, these rooms are bright and airy with a restful ambience, and French doors that open out on to the courtyard. Imagine, on a summer's evening, leaving them open, the cool night breeze keeping you cool whilst you sleep...The beds are all zip and link so you can have two of them configured as a superking or twins, and the en suites have good sized showers. A big benefit of this property is the temperature controlled air conditioning throughout - so you can set it to your own comfort levels.

The spa hall at Beaverbrook Barn is something else! It's got full height windows and an amazing 10m x 5m heated pool with room around it for loungers; doors open onto the garden so you can step outside whenever you want to. At the end of the hall there's a big sunken hot tub and a roomy indulgent sauna - ah, bliss! Just relax and chat whilst you revitalise with your nearest and dearest! The high walled garden has a spacious patio with chunky outdoor furniture and a BBQ, and there's plenty of grass for the children to let off steam before you snuggle up for some story telling or a game of cards in the Scandinavian style BBQ lodge.
