It is a stone-built house with weathered slate tiles, but don't be fooled - this house was brand new in 2001. All the windows are double glazed. The beams in the house come from oak trees that fell on the farm in recent hurricanes. Floors are oak and stone and the doors are oak too. Automatic oil heating floods the house with warmth. The kitchen has an oil-fired Aga as well as Zanussi and Servis appliances and a Belfast sink. There is a wood burner in the living room. The games room, living room and kitchen are all large.

Upstairs, a big landing (snug area) leads out onto the feature balcony on the first floor which makes an ideal wildlife watching platform on a warm summer's evening. Birds nest boxes are built into the walls of the house and you will frequently see a barn owl flying around at twilight.

The house has a games room with a pool table and table hockey. It has broadband, satellite TV and a phone with honesty box. Outside there is children's play equipment. Grown-ups' play equipment includes garden furniture and a barbecue.
