Family Cycle Trail, Forest of Dean

Bring your own bikes or hire from Pedal-A-Bikeway and follow this waymarked family cycle trail through the beautiful Forest of Dean; the trail is a resurfaced former railway line that connects to villages and picnic sites so plenty of places to stop for a rest and a bite to eat. You’ll see disused caol mines and pass through the romantically named old stations of Drybrook Road, Cannop Whary and Speech House. In total it’s 9 miles long but you can take a shorter route of 5 miles, or just do part of it.
