At the start of the year we often look back on the decisions we made in the previous 12 months and decide that we will do things differently this year. We have done exactly this in the office and have made a vow to enjoy ourselves more, spend more time with friends and family as well as look after ourselves a little more. What have you decided to do this year?
In 2016 why not try the following things, we are going to give them a go so look out for our future posts to see how we got on!
We also have two new properties to share with you: Riverside Cottage and Park Farm. Both tastefully decorated and perfect for quiet weekends away or indeed even a hen party or two these properties are simply stunning. Have a look and see what we mean.
Try something new
Make this year the year when you try something totally new. Was there something you wanted to do as a child but just never got around to? I always wanted to learn to tap dance, while I may not actually join a class with some 5 years olds I am determined to dance more. With wedding season coming up I am going to be the first person on the dance floor and dance the night away.
Take some time for yourself
We can all get caught up in the day to day business of life. We say we haven’t got time to stop, to take a few moments but maybe we could. Put the phone, laptop and mobile devices in a drawer, turn the TV off and just do what ever you want. If that means you sit down with a cup of tea then do it. If actually you want to go into the garage and sort out a cupboard that you’ve been meaning to do for years then do it. If you want to read a book, do it. You will still find that you can do all that you meant to do that day but have created time because of the lack of distractions.
Arrange to meet up with someone you haven’t seen for a while
You might have put off calling someone for fear of them wondering who you are or them not wanting to meet but our experience is that they wont mind at all they will just be glad to hear from you.
Catching up will refresh that relationship and have a positive influence on the rest of your week. We promise you wont be disappointed.
Book a holiday
A holiday doesn’t need to be 2 weeks on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere, some of the best holidays are actually closer to home. Whether that holiday is a small group of adults or the whole family take a few days and relax. Why not get away from it all with a stay in the country. Take a look at these recommended properties The Cottage Beyond, Coat Barn and Whitehaven. They have plenty for the whole family from indoor swimming pools to large gardens. You can have a holiday that everyone will remember and talk about for years to come.
Make 2016 a year to remember. Sleeps12 has a variety of properties suitable for a range of breaks from corporate to Hen Parties, from 50th Wedding anniversaries to craft breaks. Give us a call and see what we can offer. We look forward to hearing all about it.
